The new Wrox refernce, Java XML Programming (ISBN 1-861002-85-8) is too big
and of course, too expensive, but excellent. Besides the cookbook kind of
examples, it is a thorough, read-every-word course, interesting to read even
if you know it all, you know-it-all. Unbelievably enough, it covers and uses
the November XSLT recommendation. I wish there were a CD.

Not everyone agrees that books have limited use. Consider this exchange
last
year about XML tutorials on the Web:

There's a powerful technology that solves that problem -- it's called
the
"book"
:-)

If you are looking for the latest and greatest information about XML,
there
are a number of magazines and Web sites that publish on a regular basis:

www.developer.com
www.xml.com
XML magazine (www.xmlmag.com)
xml.about.com
XML Developers Journal (www.xml-journal.com)
Dr. Dobb's (www.ddj.com)
Web Techniques (www.webtechniques.com)
