Hi Peter

Peter said:
Here is a wild idea. Would it be a useful exercise to create an XML browser
in SVG?

Didier replies:
Very Easy Peter, I did one during my lunch time...not kidding. I took me
exactly one hour do make one. But I let you consume a bit of glucose to find
how. Just two hints:
a) the adobe plug-in (a free component)
b) I already said too much on how to make it :-))

OK, I'll be a good boy, it also includes a DOM implentation so, just add to
this a free java script implementation, put it in the oven for 5 minutes and
you'll get the prefect meal :-))

PS: after using SVG on a fast SVG renderer you'll ask yourself why on earth
you ever used swing. My partner would say that we just momentarily lost our
minds. :-) Peter, you didn' read my last article. In my last xml.com article
I used an SVG component and even, went so far as give you the link to where
you can get a free one. Anyway, I'll give an other chance, I'll write an
other one dedicated to SVG with an application that will probably surprise
you. An apps cooked in Didier's lab and ready for consumption :-)). By the
way, a plug-in can also be used in something else than in a Microsoft or
Netscape browser... too late, I gave you the second hint.

Cheers
Didier PH Martin
