Announce: Seventh Edition of XSLT/XPath Tutorial Materials

Practical Transformation Using XSLT and XPath
(XSL Transformations and the XML Path Language)
   Seventh Edition - 2000-02-25 - ISBN 1-894049-04-7
Copyright (c) 2000 Crane Softwrights Ltd.
/ 324 Pages / Subscription price includes free updates
/ / and soft-copy of all included examples.

This comprehensive Seventh Edition contains all constructs of the W3C
Recommendations for XSLT 1.0 and XPath 1.0 with updated descriptions,
examples and diagrams to the Sixth Edition for some constructs based on
feedback from delivering this material in Philadelphia and Helsinki.

Content related to archaic implementations of the language has been weeded
out and the focus is now entirely the W3C Recommendations (except for the
annex describing the stand-alone and diagnostic environment for Microsoft's
MSXML implementation). Please refer to related Microsoft web pages for
descriptions regarding the level of implementation of the W3C Recommendations.

The free download preview excerpt (in both A4 and US-letter page sizes) has
also been updated to reflect the content of the Seventh Edition. If you
have downloaded the excerpt in the past, you may wish to get an updated copy.

As with our other editions of this XSLT training material, the purchase of
any edition of this publication entitles the customer to any future edition
of the same material. Note that the work on this material *has not
stopped* ... work will continue (due to a delay since the last edition) on
a prose version of the book, formatted with XSL (while I begin writing the
"Practical Formatting Using XSL" material).

Information can be obtained from the link below to the "Commercial Training
Materials" section the Crane web site (also the location of the free
download preview excerpt).

.............. Ken

p.s. Attention existing customers:
