Since the initial implementation of IIOP was well under 10KBytes
(critical paths sat in the '486 CPU's 4K i-cache), I'd be surprised
if newer implementations really _needed_ all that much more.
What starts to cost is not the networking infrastructure to talk
IIOP, but interface-specific code ... stubs, skeletons, and so on.
But a Palm-specific app shouldn't need lots of that.
