Just looking at my Web news today I ended up fetching
http://www.infoworld.com/articles/en/xml/00/04/28/000428enkerpub.xml
First reaction: ah ah a major site moving to xhtml
Second reaction: hum it formats okay on my NS browser, interesting
But the following was far less brilliant:
- it fails passing even simple WFC in the 3rd META tag (" not escaped
in a attribute delimited with ").
- all the tags are uppercase while XHTML is lowercase
- no DOCTYPE
Since it's served as text/html, one could argue that it's just one
more incorect HTML page the Web, I just hope that nobody sold them
XML tools producing this, and that it's just the result of early
on-going efforts to move to a clean XML format ...
Daniel
