I apologize for the 2-3 day delay in answering your questions to our support
center. Normally we try to reply to each support incident within 24 hours at
most, but due to the XML DevCon show in New York last week, we had a much
higher frequency of incoming messages (mostly pre-sales questions) and we
therefore were not always able to respond as timely as usual.

Sincerely,

Alexander Falk

Subject: limitations in XML Spy 3.0 for schema validation
Importance: High

Does anyone have a list of limitations in XML Spy 3.0's support for XML
Schema? I've tried contacting the company but haven't received any replies
to my queries.

I've been using it to aid in the development of a schema that was started in
XDR. It's been great tool in helping me to implement the schema but I've
developed a real love/hate relationship with it.

It's understandable that it doesn't fully support the features of Schema
yet, but it can be difficult in determining if validation errors (or lack
thereof) are due to limitations in XML Spy or mistakes in my implementation
of the schema.

Thanks,
Glen Albert
