If your OO instances come from the OMG Corba OO model then you may
be interested in knowing that a number of people is working on adapting SOAP
to work with Corba messaging and ObjectModel.
So if your UML classes can be translated into OMG IDL valuetypes you could use the
fortcomming Corba "SOAP encoding style".
