XPointer [1] and XLink [2] specifications are currently in Candidate
Recommendation [3] state at W3C. This stage is dedicated to implementors,
and the specifications are allowed to pursue their way toward the final
Recommendation status only if the prerequisite of implementability have
been verified.
So in order to verify those points the XML Linking Working Group is
seeking implementors feedback for XPointer and Xlink. There is multiple
ways to do it:
- by posting on the www-xml-linking-comments@w3.org public
archived [4] mailing list
- by contacting the chairs (Eve Maler <elm@east.sun.com> or
Daniel Veillard <Daniel.Veillard@w3.org>)
- or by sending those to XML-Dev, but I will have to forward them
to www-xml-linking-comments :-)
So if you are implementors of one of those specifications, providing
feedback will lower the risk of extra delays in Candidate Recommendation
stage. I will also maintain pointers to public implementations from the
XML Linking Working Group public page [5],
hoping to hear from some of you soon,
thanks in advance,
Daniel
