No, not at all.
What I'm saying is that the answer might have to be a "the best compromise
made was this decision". Getting into the blow-by-blow is why the process
isn't open to begin with, and if it were, all the "real" arguments would be
made in the hallways and back alleys of private mail.
Sometimes there is an easily divulged technical reason. Sometimes it's
because the group final gave in to someone (or several someones) being a
pedantic ass about something. Telling the world THAT doesn't do anyone any
good.
