It is always fascinating to read an article on
how one takes control of identity, the Internet
ontology, transactions etc, and at the bottom
of the page is

Everyone wants to rule the world, or at least,
the part they assert they own. And as far as I can tell,
there is no realistic way around it unless some
parts of the operation are public utilities.
Does that mean the global registry services MUST
be public utilities? In other words, MS or IBM
or whomever is allowed to sell the software to
create these but never allowed to own both?
