Hello S (wasn't there something about "tersity of markup" in the spec?),
There is exactly such a product. Barbadosoft will shortly be announcing the GA release of Barbados Modeler and CorteXML at XML Asia Pacific and XML 2001 respectively. CorteXML uses an extensible repository architecture to provide object-level management, re-use and version control and impact analysis for complex XML-based applications. It is designed with a powerful API for integration into existing environments.
Feel free to have a look at our web site or contact us by email if you would like more information.
Regards,
John

Subject: [xml-dev]
I'm looking for an XML repository to
interface well with a more data-centric editor such as
XMLSpy. We are currently using Source Integrity.
I've looked at XML Canon, but it seems to have
cumbersome source control if using the Gateway with a
3rd party editor.
We would like source & version control, schema, dtd, &
xslt storage, validation, data dictionary & element
level support, open architecture, interoperability
with an editor and the existing DBMS, etc., etc.
Is there such a product?
Thanks.
