Title: RE: Draft US gov't XML Developer's Guide
And sometimes you simply repeat the mistakes of the past because
you do not know that Sauromon has become black.

The problem of insisting on the W3C and deprecating standards organizations
is that you do not fully understand the timing issues of creating and fielding
mission critical systems that affect reliability.  The W3C is a good organization
for working with emerging technologies, and thus is a good ally for DARPA.  It
is not good and ensuring such systems meet the high reliability requirements
for mission critical systems.    Reliability is the first key to military logistics,
not necessarily cost.   You become the attractor to chaos and the one
whose hard recommendations result in the loss of assets.  Caveat emptor.

5) Regarding the One Ring - Sometimes you need to prod the halfling to act in order to avoid chaos.
