A long time ago I wrote it like this on a wall
at the oldeIntergraph: We build the tools to
build the tools and sell the tools we build.
Then that market went to MS. There ain't no
money in the core technologies. That is why
open source found a niche and the rest of us
went on to working in deeper niches.

What's great about building foundation tools, is that you can even use it to
build the tools afterwards !
