DIME's encapsulating multiple pieces in a single message, and dealing
with the complexity of mixing binary and textual content. That's more
than I want, even though it's a nice step down from much of what's out
there. At this point I just want to send XML - I'll even happily
restrict it to UTF-16 XML and call it a day.
