Behavior.
Netscape lost because it thought its browser was an
operating system inside an operating system. Apple
realized that hypertext did not require controls
inside content. Controls can point in. HTML
and href are quite primitive.

The rub there is, what is beyond hypertext? If hypertext was/is
envisioned to be able to capture all information, what's left over to
worry about?
