So it would appear! Mandate that all attribute value and text nodes are sent
in base64?
As a general statement, should ALL uses of XML that are not actually document
processing for human display (eg, everything it wasn't originally designed
for) base64 ALL values that can't be guaranteed to fit into a constrained
character set (numbers, IDs, IDREFs, etc)? We'd have to change a lot of
standards then.
