Title: RE: [xml-dev] what is xml most used for
I
believe, XML, at the moment, is being used for defining new languages (a
new grammer along with semantics, which suits and caters to some specific
requirement). This cames through the most powerful feature of XML - its
extensibility
Today,
a plethora of new standards are based on XML - XSL, WSDL, SGML, MATHML and u can
keep on counting..

I don't really consider data exchange ( in general ) to be a
niche since almost anything can be data
exchange.
I am
just wondering where XML is "fitting in". I know what it has been hyped
to be but want to know more about what it is actually
doing.
Without knowing what
types of specifics you're looking for, I cannot. :)
Please be more
specific about your request - and if I believe that there is information
that I can provide (some I cannot, for obvious reasons), then I would be
happy to do so.
