Ah good.  That would perhaps make it 
suitable for capturing narratives along with 
traffic accident diagrams and incident 
drawings.

know that an advertised feature of the Tablet PC is handwriting 
recognition. I thought I saw some message questioning that.

handwriting recognition on the Tablet PC works based on your natural 
writing.  It accepts printing and handwriting.  The operating system 
actually stores the handwriting as a graphic and the converted text in 
the notepad application.  So you can go back and forth between the 
handwriting and the converted text for nuances that the recognizer may 
have missed.  Also, the handwriting recognition can be done after you 
have entered your notes in.   It does not have to be done real time."
