I agree that RSS 0.90 is in no way the foundation for all the dreams people
have for RDF. It is an XML format, based on the XML serialization of RDF. It
is supported by a considerable proportion of the tools in that domain -
aggregators, readers etc, though few of those (if any) take advantage of its
RDF nature. It is however also supported by virtually every RDF tool there
is, and anyone that has looked into it will realise that is saying a *lot*
more than saying, for example, that an XML format is supported by XML tools.

It was and is RDF compliant. It is RDF. I don't find that confusing.
