If we've had enough fun pulling on the strong/loose XML typing permathread
for one day, there's always the "subsetting XML" permathread to entertain
us.
This is in the news this week because the TAG has been discussing the
question of whether it is a Bad Thing for SOAP to deprecate DTD internal
subsets (and all they they bring to the party). See the telcon minutes at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-tag/2002Dec/0031.html
One result of that is that the XML Protocols WG was asked to explain this
decision. Noah Mendelsohn has drafted such an explanation and put it out
for comments, see http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/xml-dist-
app/2002Dec/0003.html
Comments (preferably constructive, but hey, this is xml-dev!) here or to
xml-dist-app@w3.org would be appreciated, I'm sure.
