Inspired largely by Bob DuCharme's research on the use of html <a> in
the wild, I have done a little work on the use of elements vs.
attributes in XHTML.
Instead of examining existing practice, this is a 'what if' scenario
that shows what XHTML would be like if attributes were no longer used
for:
* holding human-readable strings
* holding lists or other micro-parsed values
