/ Gustaf Liljegren <gustaf.liljegren@xml.se> was heard to say:
| I'm not familiar with OASIS' decision process, but this document looks
| finished:
|
| http://makeashorterlink.com/?Y2E825DC4
|
| (A working PDF would be nice though.)
Uhm. Yeah. Someone else mentioned that.
/me goes off to run "make pdf"
/me ponders one odd page break and decides not to worry about it just now
/me uploads the document
The PDF is now available at
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/entity/download.php/2425/cs-entity-xml-catalogs-1.0.pdf
/me mutters something untranscribable about database backends to
websites and how they generate totally stupid URIs and makes a
note to write a screed about it someday
| How big event is this? Will this be looked upon in 2 years as a milestone
| for entity resolving in XML? Will it be accepted? Is there any current
| opposition to it? I know some people doesn't like URNs in namespaces for
| example. Should any future versions of XML refer to this specification?
They're already pretty widely used, actually. They're A Good Thing.
Be seeing you,
norm
