Off-topic: help vector links

I realize this is off-topic but I figured xml-dev might be able to help because of the high caliber of academic qualifications on list, and of course because of all the SVG folks around.

 

I’m looking for some general cs texts on calculating vectors, strategies, algorithms etc.

 

Also if anyone knows any really good articles on using javascript for such tasks that would be excellent. Thanks.
