   RE: [xml-dev] OFFTOPIC: Job Opportunity

[ Lists Home | Date Index | Thread Index ]

So I should have said:

"There is a job opportunity for a technical writer with the
following requirements:

1. Applicant must live in or be willing and able to relocate to
the State of New Jersey in the United States of North America.

2. Position requires knowledge of technical information
not likely to be held by those who are not residents of
the United States of North America and who have not served
in or been in the employ of the Department of Defense of
the United States of North America or contractors thereto.

I offer commiseration to any and all who are members of this list
that may not meet the qualifications cited above and yet
who, by dint of this being an international list,
will receive it. No offense is intended and no aspersions
are cast on the characters or capabilities of those members who
may or may not meet the above cited qualifications."

Ah heck, let's just send the Marines to waste 'em all,
then if I can only correctly interpret this piece of spam
promising "REAL AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY GIRLS", I may be
able to figure out if Olivia Newton-John is an option or
just Internet roos.

However, if the original post had said "foreigners" instead of
"internationals", some would have been offended at the derogatory
connotation (according to PCness) and we would now be embroiled in a lengthy
email exchange...  :-}
