A term used in that sentence, probably part of an intended meaning to the
utterer expressed in some implicit and explicit context, probably part of
a received meaning to the recipient in some implicit and explicit
context, perhaps where the contexts were provided by yet other people?

But I think Roger's question is really "What programming paradigm
matches simple natural language assertions: object-oriented, functional,
frame-based (slots), or symbolic?" Lol.
