Atom Hackathon to be featured at XML 2004

[ Lists Home | Date Index | Thread Index ]

XML 2004, this November 16-18 in Washington DC will feature an Atom

Hackathon. This event will take place on the exhibit floor during

exhibit hours: Tuesday, November 16th 5:30pm - 7:00pm Wednesday, November 17th 10:30am - 2:00pm and 3:30pm - 7:00pm Thursday, November 18th 10:30am - 4:30pm

Participants, who will have to register for an expo pass at

http://www.xmlconference.org/xmlusa/2004/registration.html (it's free

if you register before November 8), should bring their computers and

Atom publishing protocol implementations.  Network connectivity will

be provided.

The goal is to demonstrate interoperability between as many client- server combinations as possible in doing four operations:  1. creating a new post that includes a picture.  2. replacing the picture with another.  3. changing the text of the post.  4. deleting the post.

There is a page on the Atom Wiki at

http://www.intertwingly.net/wiki/pie/XML2004Hackathon where

participants are preparing for the event.
