I know that some of you on this list still use my old XML-Writer:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xml-writer/
I'm thinking about doing a bit of maintenance on it -- bug fixes,
maybe a few features, etc.; certainly, I've found it useful in some of
my recent projects. It would also be nice to put an official release
on the SourceForge site rather than just the CVS.
I don't plan to rewrite it into something different than it is, but I
am interested in hearing people's suggestions for fixes and minor
enhancements or updates. Please feel free to send suggestions to the
(currently totally quiet) SF xml-writer mailing lists (subscription
required), to xml-dev, or directly to me by private mail; you can also
use SourceForge's bug tracking system. I'm planning mainly on
updating the Java version, since that's what I use, but I might
consider looking at the Perl one as well.
I'll announce any new version here as well as on the SF lists if or
when it is available.
Thanks, and all the best,
David
