Refining the searches:
RDF -filetype:rdf 5.9 million
Java -coffee -Sumatra 55.7 million
Comparing with Google data from November 2003 (below),
- Perl, COBOL, SQL, FORTRAN, Visual Basic are down
- Java is up

There are some significant differences in trends reported on that page vs. these
numbers from an August 2003 survey
http://www.webservicessummit.com/Trends/ComputingTrends_part2_files/slide0241.htm
That page reported C in fifth place, significantly behind Java and Visual Basic.
The TIOBE data shows C as being on the uptick and in first place.
It's worth noting Google reports 18 million hits for either of these searches:
c programming -tv
"(c)" programming -tv
-------------------------
Google hits (Nov. 2003)
--------------------------
Java 51,600,000
Perl 38,800,000
Visual Basic 36,200,000
C++ 33,600,000
SQL 29,300,000
Javascript 20,100,000
FORTRAN 7,720,000
Python 5,200,000
Pascal 3,760,000
COBOL 2,550,000
Ada 2,380,000
awk 1,440,000
an interesting beauty-contest:
