OK, maybe I found it, is it "Display as table (F12)" ?
If so, I did that, but there seems to be no way to paste the Excel rows?

If it is a strictly regular table, you may generate XML data with the help
of Table View in Grid View provided by XMLSpy.
first copy the table from Word to Excel,
then in XMLSpy switch to Table View in Grid View, and copy the table from
Excel to XMLSpy.
Hope this helps.

Are there any tools to easily convert a table in word to XML?
thanks
