Which is curious on this list.
I feel sure that there is sufficient exposure and experience here to 
define a set of requirements for xlink
and implement them, as was the case with sax.
The need is there (IMHO);  I can't recall that being in doubt?


I guess all that is missing is a David Megginson to take the lead and 
put forward the (a?) proposal.
