XML Prague 2007 CALL FOR PAPERS - January 18 2007
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
XML Prague is a regular conference on XML for developers, mark-up geeks,
information managers, and students, focusing this year on XML Processing
idioms, Open XML Documents and XProc. The conference consists of a full
day of experts speaking, in addition to a subsequent day dedicated for
participants to hold related BoF sessions and workshops.
Date: June 16-17, 2007
Website: http://www.xmlprague.cz
Location: Malá Strana (aka Lesser Town), Prague, the Czech Republic
Malostranské náměstí 25, Prague 1
This year XML Prague is calling for submissions for presentations
running 30 minutes, on the following topics.
XML Processing Idioms: Some have said that the optimal approach to
processing XML has still yet to be discovered, we are looking for unique
approaches to processing XML.
Open XML Documents: Seeking 'real world' experience and techniques
working with the various emerging XML office type XML documents.
XProc: We would like to receive submissions from early implementers and
advanced users on all aspects of XML pipeline processing (e.g. XProc, etc).
How to submit proposals:
Send extended abstracts via e-mail to xmlprague@gingerall.cz.
Format of proposals:
UTF-8 encoded plain text. Each proposal must contain a title, a name and
affiliation of submitter and a description not longer than 500 words.
Proposals will be submitted for review by a peer review panel made up of
XML Prague Organising Committee and Advisory Board members. Submissions
will be chosen based on interest, applicability, technical merit, and
technical correctness.
Full Papers will be published in the proceedings of the conference.
Papers should strive to contain original material and belong in the
topics listed previously. Submissions which are construed as product or
service descriptions (adverts) will probably be deemed inappropriate.
Other approaches, such as Case Studies are welcome though should focus
on aspects relevant to the conference.
Selected presenters will be asked to submit a full paper (Docbook
format) on time, give their presentation and answer questions in
English; as detailed in the XML Prague 2007 conference presenter guidelines.
Important Dates:
February 28 -- End of CFP (extended abstract or full paper)
April 15 -- Notification of acceptance/rejection of paper to authors
May 15 -- Camera ready or DocBook paper
June 16-17 -- XML Prague 2007 conference
Master Talks Speakers confirmed so far:

regards, XML Prague 2007 Organizing Committee
