Journalists know how to write an entertaining story, don't they?
Most of the facts he use appear to be lifted straight from
http://www.amazon.com/Web-Standards-Design-Guide-Internet/dp/1584503874
I wonder if he read the whole book or just the sample chapter that's
available online? Either way, the author of the book (Kevin Ruse) seems to
know a lot more about web design than about 19th century manufacturing. So
whether you like the moral of the tale or not, take the facts with a pinch
of salt.
