Hi Sholmo,

oXygen allows you to specify how many instances you want. Then you can 
select the root and in the Options tab you can generate optional 
content, attributes, random values, set the recursion level, select to 
expand choice models randomly, etc.
Currently it is not possible to generate the instances outside oXygen - 
although there is recorded an enhancement request regarding this for the 
next version.
