ns:p[ns:strong='Hobbies:']  does not match the  strong element, that
would be a match of

ns:p/ns:strong='Hobbies:'

ns:p[ns:strong='Hobbies:']

 matches a p that has a <strong>Hobbies</strong child. So the current
node in the template is the p not the strong, so you don't "go back up"
as you never went down to the strong.
