I was using C++ with Tiny Xml which I understand is a light weight library, would a better alternative be xerces?

I would expect Xerces-C to provide access to the typed
value, and thus to the individual items in a list, yes.
(But I will confess that I almost always write all my
XML processing code in XSLT, and I have not done more with
the Xerces-C and -J libraries than play with them a little
bit.)

best,

Michael

From what I have seen in the Xerces documentation I do not believe this library has this functionality, yet it provides a method (just like Tiny Xml) to grab the elements data as a char array. Could anybody suggest a C++ library which could do what I am looking for. Saxon has the ability to grab the information yet it is a java or .Net library only.
Thanks
