RE: [xml-dev] Trailing slash on a namespace that is a url

Hi Andrew,

> Does the list think namespaces should have a trailing slash?

I read that it is beneficial to put a trailing slash on the end of a URL. Without it some web servers do two exchanges with the browser.

So, if a namespace is being used in a dual role - as both a label and as a valid URL that someone or some machine can dereference (e.g. to a RDDL document) - then a trailing slash is beneficial.
