Thank God the rich XML history allows you to go back in time and forget
about namespaces when you want to, or have to.

Your OoxmlProcessor could load the stylesheet using a SAX filter that
performs the appropriate identifier replacement on all xmlns or xmlns:xy
attributes carrying your standard OOXML namespace.

A namespace-unaware DOM might be another possibility. (Not tested.)

Of course, such manipulation performed by the OoxmlProcessor should be
documented.
