This was my point. People don't really associate 'model' with defining what is valid in an XML document, they use the word 'schema', regardless of predilection or otherwise for XSD.

Ah I see.  Yes, I misunderstood what you were saying.

Hehe. And further to my point, RELAX NG self-identifies as a "schema language for XML" per relaxng.org.

 Right.  I do hope folks reconsider the question of a MIME type for RNG, though.
