Hi,
I am happy to announce that a new version of oXygen XML Editor is
available from our website
http://www.oxygenxml.com
As always, it comes with very important new features even though this is
a point release. I will highlight only a few of them below, for the
complete list and details please see
http://www.oxygenxml.com/index.html#new-version
*XSLT*
The first XSLT debugger to step into XPath 2.0 expressions!
Triggered by a recent discussion on the xsl-list this feature allows to
see how complex XPath expressions are executed, stepping into different
XPath instructions or function calls.
*XProc*
Support for the just released (last week) XProc Proposed Recommendation
+ integrated the latest XML Calabash XProc engine
+ the Calumet XProc engine from EMC released yesterday contains an
oXygen connector, making Calument available as an XProc engine in oXygen.
*Visual editing in browser or in your application*
The oXygen visual editing mode (the Author mode) is available as a
component to be integrated in Java applications and in Web applications
as a Java Applet. A demo for that is available at
http://www.oxygenxml.com/demo/AuthorDemoApplet/author-component-dita.html
(please note that it requires Java 6 and works on Windows and Linux, the
new Java Applets are not yet supported on Mac)
*New spell checker*
Hunspell (the engine used by OpenOffice, Mozilla and others) is now used
by oXygen for spell checking. oXygen provides XML and xml:lang aware
spell checking and ships with dictionaries for English, German, French
and Spanish but users can install others from the almost 100
dictionaries available for Hunspell.
Best Regards,
George
