Maybe a better approach is to
1) Flag the problem in the talk pages, and that you will be correcting it.
2) After some time for discussion, move the offending material to a
different section on the page, suitably marked, such as "Related Concepts"
or with text like "Declarative programming may be distinguished from XXX
because blah blah." And where a term is not univocal, the make a note
about that: a lot of controversy is merely because of unnecessarily
dogmatic phrasing.
3) After some other time, if the material is useful and it isn't
controversial, move it to its proper page.
