I take it that "respond" is some kind of euphemism in this case?

By the way, the OOXML WG that Murata-san chairs at W3C he has put in a
system that tracks how long it takes for defects to be responded to: IIRC
it is less than 6 months in almost all cases. This is for a controversial
spec much larger than XML Schemas, also with a need for more participants.
