Heyo. :-)
We've just created an initial release of the code for GenXDM, formerly
called gXML. Source and binary zip files and tarballs are available.
We'd sure like folks to come along and join the fun. :-)

There's some interesting discussion, currently, on the mailing list,
around the question of how to model the XQuery Update Facility
(potentially replacing the current much more DOM-alike mutable API),
and that in turn has some other interesting implications for the
relationship between the typed and untyped APIs ... :-) Really, it's
kinda fun, and you should come join in.
The modules released this time around have a fairly wide version range;
we don't think we're close to 1.0, yet, but parts of the code are
(while other parts are *very* minimal, new, or have lagged badly as we
focused elsewhere).
Amy!

only two things last forever--
sorrow and love, sorrow and love ....
