Hmm...   In functional programming functions are a kind of data. It
would follow that the design of functions (type of data) is not
important -- only the design of higher order functions is.

But a HOF is date for another HOF.   .....

Following this we construct a chain of conclusions that the design of
any function, regardless of its level of "higher-ordered-ness" is not
important ... which contradicts the statement that "software design is
important"
