Re: [xml-dev] It's too late to improve XML ... lessons learned?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unique_selling_proposition

It’s USP in the sense of “differentiating factor” as in “the USP of XML Prague is that you can meet like-minded people in one of the most pleasant cities on earth *without breaking the bank*.”

One key factor that sets XML Prague apart from, say, the Balisage or Markup UK conferences (not considering the fact that Prague is a mere 2.5 hours’ drive from where I live) is the affordability of it – accommodation, drinks, and conference fees (at least compared to physical Balisage).

Let’s see how this will play out in June when hotel rates in Prague are higher than in February.

In fairness, Rockville and London are nice places, too, although generally more expensive.

The key takeaway is: “Affordability of beer is XML Prague’s USP.”

Sorry not sorry for slightly changing the discussion’s topic. Register for XML Prague, folks! It’s one of the few places on earth where you can meet in order to actually and collectively improve XML.
