Hi,
Do you know how I can unsubscribe from this mailing list. Send
emailing to the list with UNSUBSCRIBE has not worked.
Thank you,
_Farid
Some general advice about how to unsubscribe from mailing lists:
1. Many lists include a footer at the end of each message with
unsubscribe instructions. It is amazing how often people will send a
message to a list asking how to unsubscribe, and have the instructions
at the foot of that very message. However, XML-Dev is not one of the
lists which includes a footer with unsubscribe instructions.
2. Many lists include unsubscribe instructions in the headers of each
message. XML-Dev has this. To see the headers, sometimes you need to ask
your email program to "View source" of a message from the list. I see
these headers:
List-Post: <mailto:xml-dev@lists.xml.org>
List-Help: <mailto:xml-dev-help@lists.xml.org>
List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:xml-dev-unsubscribe@lists.xml.org>
List-Subscribe: <mailto:xml-dev-subscribe@lists.xml.org>
So, send an email to xml-dev-unsubscribe@lists.xml.org , and I expect
that the address from which you send will be unsubscribed.
3. Search for a web page describing the list, written by the list
managers. For me, the first result from a search for "xml-dev list"[1]
is a web page[2] which describes the list. It includes a section,
"Change Address or Unsubscribe", which has the instructions you seek.
I hope these instructions help you succeed in your unsubscription. Best
regards,
