DOCBOOK: Query

Dear Sir,

How to reduce the space in between the 2 tags of docbook dtd using xsl style 
sheet.

For example,

While using subscript tag

w<subscript>i</subscript>

the output shows like this

w  <subscript>i</suscript>

How can i reduce the space to normal using xsl. It generates space 
automaticaly in IE5 as well as XML Spy.

Also in

Emphasis tag.

<emphasis>i</emphasis>.


please suggest us.
