On behalf of ETSI (European Telecommunication Standards Institute) can I
submit our technical specification:

XML Advanced Electronic Signatures (XAdES) TS 101 903

This standard specifies the XML format for Advanced Electronic Signatures
satisfying the requirements defined in the European Directive for Electronic
Signatures, and with long term validity.   It builds on the W3C
"XML-Signature Syntax and Processing".
