Could
someone explain what the meeting is that Don's referring to? What is the group
that's meeting in January? What are the issues for the Steering Committee
of the LegalXML Member Section? Perhaps there's a link you could point us
to so we can learn about this group in advance of our meeting. Thanks!

I know that Jim can not make it, but we
need to have a meeting. I would like to talk about our message to the meeting
set up by Kelly Ray at the end of January. I think we need to bring forward our
efforts on Court Document and a willingness to host new TCs in the legal arena
if they can bring forward focused people to work on well scoped problems.
Moving the meeting time or date is fine
with notice.

Congratulations to Don Bergeron and upon their election to at large seats on the Steering
Committee.
I failed to schedule a Steering Committee earlier this month
on our regular meeting date. Does anyone see a reason to hold a call
prior to our next scheduled call which falls on January 11, 2006 at 1:00 pm
Eastern? Rolly - Do you have anything to report on the committee
set up to consider new policies for Member Section finances?
One of our first tasks in January will be elect officers for
the coming year. This is my last year of eligibility to serve as an
at-large member of the Steering Committee. I suggest that we make the
transition to a new chair this year so that I can be helpful in the new chair's
"learning the ropes." I therefore suggest that the committee
consider other persons who might be willing to assume the position of chair.
