RSA 2013 -- Onsite Promotional Ideas for Review

Hello Everyone, As promised, below are a few promotional-related ideas for the groups to consider.  Our goal is to finalize our plans by December 20 th .   Please review all the options and discuss them during one of your upcoming December meetings.  Other ideas are welcome.  If you have another idea, please forward the information to me ASAP.    Thanks so much, Jane DEMO PARTICIPATION SHIRT RECOGNITION This year, we are planning to order something that our group could wear onsite – that recognizes them participants.  We have several options for review.  Please take a look and discuss which option would work best for the whole group. 1.) Demonstration T-shirt – with logo and maybe slogan (Manage Keys with KMIP" and "Control Access with XACML") sample:  http://www.cafepress.com/mf/7388450/dita-ash-grey-tshirt_tshirt 2.) An iron-on or fabric sticker patch that could be added to your company shirt   sample:  http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=logo+patches&qpvt=logo+patches&FORM=IGRE 3.) A pin that could be added to your company shirt sample:  http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=logo+pins&qpvt=logo+pins&FORM=IGRE 4.) A ribbon that could be attached to your RSA badge holder sample:  http://www.pcnametag.com/ribbon-subcategory1-2.aspx COMPANY BOOTH SPACE SIGNAGE In addition to our own booth signage, we are in the process of developing small standard logo signs that will be distributed to OASIS member companies exhibiting at RSA.  If you have a separate company booth at RSA and would like to have one of these signs, please let us know. sample:  http://plastic-tags.com/products/index.php?item=97&catid=Small%20Signs DEMO SLIDE SHOW As mentioned, a laptop monitor will be available for each demo group to use.  Please start discussing what will be displayed.  We are hoping each group will keep their slides simple and animate as much as possible.  Also, please consider including a slide from each participating company – that will outline their role in the demonstration scenario.   Slide presentations will be due February 20 th . GIVE AWAYS AND OTHER PROMOTIONAL IDEAS Last year we raffled off a few high-priced items as part of our onsite promotion.   We are evaluating this again – along with a few other options.   Please review the following options and let us know what each group prefers. 1.) Tuesday Night Pub Crawl Sponsorship – The pub crawl will take place from 5:00pm-6:00pm on Tuesday evening in the expo. Delegates will visit sponsoring booths for a choice of beer, wine, soda or water available at a bar located in or near the sponsor booth. Bar inventory is based on estimated consumption and will be divided equally amongst participating sponsors. If bar inventory runs out – RSA is not responsible to replenish (and we all know – it goes quickly).  Participating companies will also get a themed identifier to place in their booth to indicate to delegates they are part of the pub crawl!   Our booth space would also be highlighted on the Expo Guide floor plan, the conference website, in the Program Guide and on applicable onsite signage – which is the most valuable part of this sponsorship opportunity. 2.) Beverage & Mug Give-Away – During one of the show floor receptions, we could order a keg of beer and give-away logo plastic beer mugs.  I’ve seen this option in many booths during the receptions and they seem to attract quite a crowd.  A sample of a plastic beer mug maybe found at:    http://www.pronto.com/product/plastic-logo-beer-mug-p_1585174359 . 3.) Raffle Give-Away – As mentioned, we gave away a Kindle Fire and IPAD last year.  We could do something similar this year.  Each participating company was provided raffle tickets to distribute at will.  The raffle was held on the last day.   If this option is of interest again, we should toss around ideas on how to improve it this year. 4.) Food and/or Water – Another option would be to order food in our booth during a few time-blocks.  Some options include:  coffee, donuts, cookies, soda, water, etc… 5.) Small give-away – Based on what the group decides, we will evaluate whether funds are still available to purchase one or two smaller give-away options.
