Subject: 2005 spending plan

Dear colleagues – The attached spending plan, which I
have submitted to Patrick and Jamie, is $2400 higher than the plan that I
proposed and that you approved through KAVI.  I had left out the
conference telephone service, which costs us $195 per month.  We all
support the availability of this service.  Under the circumstances I
concluded that this is a non-substantive change to the spending plan and that I
did not need to bother you with a further vote on the matter nor would it be
worth postponing submission of the spending plan to OASIS (which Patrick
requested by the first of November).  I will put the matter on the agenda
for our next conference call if anyone wants to discuss it.  I am sure
that we can submit an amended spending plan to OASIS if any Steering Committee member
sees a problem with the “corrected” plan I submitted.
